Summary: RDA was founded in 1982. As a registered charity relying
entirely on donations and run by volunteers, RDA provides free horse-riding
lessons for the people with disability in Singapore for therapy. Adults
and children with either intellectual or physical disabilities or
both can participate. Riders come from several disabled schools, organisations
or as individuals brought by their parents or guardians. Our horse-riding
sessions aim to improve: balance movement, muscle tone, attention
span, confidence, discipline, interaction and communication skills.

Summary: The Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) is the national
sports body for people with disabilities in Singapore. It is a voluntary
organisation registered with the Commissioner of Charities. Promoting
sports for people with disabilities is the very cornerstone of SDSC's
existence. SDSC's goal is to promote, through sports, the wellbeing
of the people with disabilites in Singapore, helping them to live
full and independent lives.

Summary: Special Olympics Singapore is a registered non-profit voluntary
organisation affiliated to the National Council of Social Service
and the Singapore National Olympic Council. It is part of an international
organisation dedicated to empowering persons with intellectual disabilities
to become physically fit, productive and respected members of society
through sports training and athletic competition.

Summary: Very Special Arts Singapore (VSA Singapore) is a charity
launched in September 1993 to provide people with disabilities with
opportunities to access the arts for rehabilitation and social integration.
VSA Singapore is a partially funded affiliate of the National Council
of Social Service (NCSS). It is also a non-funded affiliate of Very
Special Arts International [USA] and her network of organisations
in more than 83 countries. VSA run Visual and Performing Arts programmes
for children, youths and adults with disabilities, as well as for
special education teachers, trainers, volunteers and parents of these
special people. Their programmes range from Handicraft workshops,
Sari Hand-weaving fashion show, Art Seminars, Children's Arts Camp,
Art and Handicraft Exhibitions, public performances to dance therapy
sessions, overseas arts exchanges and artist attachments.
