Programmes run by various VWOs for parents and care-givers of autistic children help in reducing the anxiety and in

• Emotional healing of the parents and building of resilience
• Learning of skills to cope with the autistic child
• Learning of the variety of resources available to them
• Giving them the knowledge that they are not alone
